Biomass Energy Technology

Eco Link Power is focused on technology that creates energy using biomass fuel sources.
The newest method for energy generation is known as gasification. This method captures 65-70% of the energy present in solid fuels by first converting it into combustible gases. These gases are then burned, like we currently burn natural gas to create energy.
When biomass is heated in the absence of oxygen syngas is eluted. The syngas can be collected, cooled, cleaned, pressurised and utilised for combustion or these steps can be eliminated and the syngas consumed. Syngas burns cleanly into water vapor and carbon dioxide. Inorganic components, such as metals and minerals, are trapped in an inert form of ash.  Many claim to do it, but not many do it; it’s completely different to burning!
This technology uses Vertical Integrated Gasification Combustion (VIGC) units. These units use carefully designed internal chambers and thermal reflectivity. Ensuring balanced air/fuel throughput, complete combustion is achieved making it very clean. Distinct controlled temperature stratification operate and multiple sensors monitoring the production and consumption of the synthetic gas.
The VIGC units are just as automated as packaged boilers and have effective PLC “Brains” that are programmed to respond to differing fuel or fuel blends. They consider moisture content, type and size of biomass, BTU per unit mass and throughput rate variations. All of this occurs using the same proven technologies that are employed daily in boiler rooms on multiple types of boilers.

Power output is achieved between 50KW to 1MW per single module (up to 5 modules are available) through one of three electricity generating technologies.

·         Single or multi stage steam turbine

·         Steam piston engine

·         Organic ranking cycle (ORC)

Above 5 MW units provide 5-20 MW output.

*Technical data can be provided on request

*The most common form of power generation is single and multistage

Our solutions utilise the power of biomass to create five main types of energy - steam, hot water, hot air, cooling and refridgeration and electricity. Depending on your unique needs and applications, we can fulfil one, or a combination of applications for our clients. The most efficient installations utilise multiple technologies.
